Q: What if I'm seeing a 404 Error Page or the        TAPMissoula Page I log in from is having issues loading?

A: 

  • If you have issues accessing the TAPMissoula website on the browsers recommended above, please refresh your browser or clear your cache & cookies. We update information frequently, and it's possible your device is uploading the old version. If none of the above solutions work, please reach out to us at support@tapmissoula.com. It's also good to clear cookies regularly as it will eventually slow all websites down.

Q: How do I update my profile?

A:

  • Click on the avatar found in the upper-right corner of your screen. From the dropdown menu click on 'Profile'.

  • Fill in your 'About' section with text, photo, and or video. When you're done click 'Publish'.

  • Fill out optional interests profile questions.

Q: How do I change my profile and cover photo?

A:

  • From your profile, click on your profile or cover photo and then choose a photo from your computer. Click 'Save'.

Q: How do I make my profile public?

A:

  • From your profile find the three vertical dots located on the right side of your cover photo. Click the dots. Choose 'Make Profile Public'. 

  • Or post in a forum. To do so, you will be prompted to make your profile public. Choose 'Yes'. Or...

  • Or message or follow another member from the Members directory page. You will be prompted to make your profile public. Again, choose 'Yes'.

Q: How do I manage my TAP® email notifications?

A:

  • ​Click on the avatar found in the upper-right corner of your screen. From the dropdown menu click on 'Settings'. By default, all email notifications for the forums, groups, blog, and chat will be toggled to an 'on' position. To stop receiving email notifications for each feature toggle to 'off'. You can turn your notifications back on at any time.

Q: How can I view my dashboard notifications?

A:

  • Click on the bell icon located in the upper right corner of the page. This will take you to your notifications page. Scroll down to see your notifications.

  • Or click on the avatar found in the upper-right corner of your screen. From the dropdown menu click on 'Notifications'. Scroll down to see your notifications.

Q: How do I edit my account including user name and contact email?

A:

  • Click on the avatar found in the upper-right corner of your screen. From the dropdown menu click on 'My Account'. Edit your user name and contact email and then click 'Update Info' at the bottom of the page. Please note, that the email you used to create an account cannot be changed.

Q: How do I delete my account?

A: 

  • We're sad to see you go, but we understand sometimes all good things must come to an end. To delete your account please email us at support@tapmissoula.com. We'll respond within 72 hours with confirmation that your account has been deleted.

Q: How do I report or block a member?

A:

  • Click on the 'Members' tab located in the main top navigation bar. Use the filter options at the top of the page to find the member. Locate the three vertical dots to the far right of the member profile. Click on the dots. Click on 'Report Member' or 'Block Member'.

  • Click on their name or profile photo from a post or comment. This will take you to their profile. Click on the ellipses in the cover photo. Click 'Report Member' or 'Block Member'.

  • Or email us at support@tapmissoula.com with the member name, and description of the issue, along with any screenshots that may help us resolve the issue faster.

Q: How do I create a group or forum post?

A:

  • Once in the forum or group, click on the blue button 'Start a Discussion' or 'Create a Post'. Fill out your post information including post title, description, link, picture, video, GIF, and emojis. Get fancy and throw in a divider to format content. (Don't worry, all are optional!) Then click 'Publish'.

  • How do you get your domain to hyperlink with a thumbnail pic attached? Paste the link next to a

  • '+' icon and hit enter.

Q: How do I respond to a post?

A:

  • Leave a comment on the members listing, which is viewable by all members. If posting in a group the comment is only visible to members of that group.

  • Or click on the 'Members Chat' box in the bottom right corner of your screen. Click on 'New Chat'. Type in the name of the member in the search bar and hit enter. Click on the member's name and then type your message in the box. This will either allow you to instantly chat with the member or leave them a message. This option is private and between members. You can also create a group chat between multiple TAP members.

Q: I registered after clicking on a post link, but now I can't view the post.

A:

  • If you're having issues viewing a post after you created an account on TAPMissoula please make your profile public. Once your profile is public you will have access to the forums and all the listings in the forums.

  • Log in>Click on the down arrow in the upper right corner of your screen > Click on Account > Click on Make Profile Public located on the lower right side of your cover photo.

Q: How do I leave a group?

A: 

  • Click on the ellipses found in the upper-right corner below the group photo. From the dropdown menu click on 'Leave'.

Q: I'm Trying to Join a Private Group.

A: 

  • If you're trying to join a private group please click on the 'Join Group' button. The group admin will be notified and will decide to approve or deny. In some cases, groups have required security questions. Please fill out the questions and submit them for consideration. Once approved or denied a notification will be sent to your dashboard and inbox. If approved, the group will be added to your 'My Groups' on the group page.
